Rapture Reptiles is located in Durango
Colorado, at 6,500ft in the San Juan Mountains. I was a student
at Fort Lewis College and graduated with a degree in environmental
biology but my real love is herpetology. I love hiking, fishing,
skiing/snow boarding, biking and taking care of my many animals.
In my youth I was constantly catching toads, frogs and anything
else I could find around the lakes and ponds of Burnsville, Minnesota
where I grew up. We also had a rabbit, a dog, plenty of hamsters,
a cockatiel (bird), a few reptiles including my 2 tortoises to name
a few.
I went to college at Fort
Lewis in 2004 and started collecting reptiles with my veiled chameleon.
Soon after that I bought my first crested gecko and instantly became
obsessed and addicted to geckos. Some of my other animals besides
cresteds include; two turtles, a tiger salamander, tomato frog,
pictus gecko, mourning gecko and a saltwater fish tank.
I really enjoy making artificial
environments for my pets that are as close to nature as possible.
My "frog" tank is a living vivarium with live plants,
a river, pond, and two waterfalls. I also have a bunch of fully
planted natural tanks for my many reptiles.

All of my geckos are housed
with tons of fake or live plants and natural coconut eco-earth/bed-
a-beast substrate. All of my breeding geckos are in completely live
plant natural tanks to better resemble what it would be like in
the wild. I take pride in making sure that my geckos are above all
my pets. I am just a small breeder and I like to make sure each
and every one of my geckos is treated with great care, and compassion.
It is my goal to raise geckos who are healthy, have a good temperament,
and are well cared for. I hope to one day start other breeding projects,
as well as open a reptile store.
